Postpartum

The time right after the birth of a new baby is a time of great transitions for new families.  From the mama’s physical recovery after birth to establishing a good breastfeeding relationship to adjusting to new identities and roles and parents to sleep deprivation, the postpartum period can be challenging.  My services focus on ensuring that new mothers and families have good social support after birth and somebody to call on when issues arise.  Whether it is answering questions and reassuring a new family as to what is normal after birth, providing breastfeeding support, or helping “mother the mother”, my postpartum services are designed to ease the transition to new parenthood.

I can help you:

  • rest and recover from the strain of labor
  • process your birth experience
  • adjust to new parenthood
  • practice good health habits for yourself and your baby after birth
  • refine your newborn care skills
  • succeed with breastfeeding
  • address other postpartum issues as they arise

Testimonials

“Becca was extremely helpful during the first weeks of our baby’s life. She is a wonderful, well-prepared professional that works with a lot of passion and love for babies. Not only was Becca amazing during the first difficult weeks, but also helped us to find a lot of good products and learn good practices that have been very useful since. I definitely give Becca a well-deserved five stars!”

– Carlo Maerna

“Becca came to me in a moment of desperation. I had little to no support following my son’s birth and was exhausted, over-extended, emotional, and at my wit’s end. With Becca’s help, support and guidance, I was able to pull it together. Regular showers, meals, breastfeeding help and sleepy time tips were just what I needed! I only wish I had contacted her sooner – like at the moment of my son’s birth! If I have another baby, Becca will be my first call to help support me and my family.”

– Simone Aucoin

“You were always available to me, no matter the hour or how small the concern was.”

– Bethany Horton
